William Gale Vinton was an American animator and filmmaker known for his pioneering work in Claymation. He became widely recognized for creating the California Raisins, a series of animated characters that achieved cultural prominence. Vinton received five Academy Award nominations for his contributions to animation, winning one. In addition to his Oscar success, he was honored with multiple Emmy and Clio Awards for his innovative and influential work with his studio.
