Biography
William Franklin Sater Benedict was an American actor, best known for his role as "Whitey" in Monogram Pictures' The Bowery Boys film series. The character became one of the franchise's most recognizable figures, appearing in numerous films throughout the series' run. Benedict's portrayal contributed to the popularity of the comedic, urban-based adventures of the Bowery Boys.
