Biography

William Lugg was an English actor and singer who was active during the late Victorian and Edwardian eras. He started his career performing in Gilbert and Sullivan operas before broadening his work into drama, comedy, and musical theatre, where he remained active for more than four decades. As British cinema emerged in its early years, Lugg transitioned to film, appearing in nine silent movies.
