Xiaoshuai Wang

Wang Xiaoshuai (Chinese: 王小帅, pinyin: Wáng Xiăoshuài; born May 22, 1966 in Shanghai) is a Chinese film director, screenwriter, and occasional actor. He is often associated with the informal group of filmmakers known as the Sixth Generation of the Cinema of China. Many of Wang's films are noted for their sensitive depiction of teenagers and young people, particularly in works such as *Beijing Bicycle*, *So Close to Paradise*, *Drifters*, and *Shanghai Dreams*. His 2008 film *In Love We Trust* stands out for its focus on marital difficulties. He also served as a jury member at the BigScreen Italia Film Festival 2006, which took place in Kunming, Yunnan, China.
