Biography

Yukiko Todoroki was a Japanese actress whose real name was Tsuruko Nishiyama. She was known for her participation in the Takarazuka Revue, where she performed under the stage name Toruko. Born in Shinbori, Azabu-ku, Tokyo, she was married twice to film directors Masahiro Makino and Koji Shima. Her son, Masayuki Makino, became the principal of Okinawa Actors School, and her granddaughter, Anna Makino, was a former member of the idol group Super Monkey's.
