Biography

Yutaka Izumihara is a 2017 cyberpunk action film directed by Rupert Sanders and based on the Japanese Ghost in the Shell franchise created by Masamune Shirow. It is the first live-action adaptation of the series and features an ensemble cast including Scarlett Johansson, Takeshi Kitano, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbæk, Chin Han, and Juliette Binoche. The film is set in a near-future world where the boundaries between humans and machines are increasingly indistinct. It follows Major Mira Killian, a highly advanced cyborg soldier, as she delves into her mysterious origins and uncovers the truth about her identity.
