Biography

Yvonne Zima was born in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, to Dennis and Marie, and is the sister of actresses Madeline Zima and Vanessa Zima. The surname "Zima," of Polish origin, is her mother's maiden name; Yvonne's maternal grandfather was of Polish descent, while her other ancestry includes Italian, German, and Irish heritage. Zima first appeared on television at age five as "Rachel Green" in the groundbreaking drama *ER* (1994), followed by a series of film roles in *Bed of Roses* (1996), *Executive Decision* (1996), *Heat* (1995), and *See Jane Run* (1995), as well as a role in the Christmas film *Christmas Every Day* (1996). She had a leading role in *The Long Kiss Goodnight* (1996), opposite Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson. Zima plays guitar, sings, and writes fiction. She has expressed an interest in developing a television show with her actress sisters, Madeline and Vanessa.
