30 Minute Meals
*30 Minute Meals* is a Food Network show hosted by Rachael Ray. It was her first of four shows on the network, debuting in the fall of 2001. The show focuses on convenience cooking for people with limited time. It is recorded live-to-tape, with Ray performing most of the preparation in real time. The show received an Emmy for Best Daytime Service Show in 2006. A recurring feature of the program is the development of new versions of classic dishes, some of which are traditionally time-consuming to prepare. Ray emphasizes creating meals in under 30 minutes. She has also produced two specials titled *Thanksgiving in 60*, centered on the concept of preparing a Thanksgiving dinner in one hour. At the beginning of each episode, Ray introduces the show with the line, "Hi there, I'm Rachael Ray and I make 30-minute meals. Now that means in the time it takes you to watch this program, I will have made a delicious and healthy meal from start to finish."
