Age Harassment

Emiri Yoshii begins her career at a general trading company. After her family's business fails, she is forced to abandon her dream of earning an MBA in the United States. She now aims to rise to a position of executive within the company. Emiri is assigned to the general affairs department, where she is unsettled to discover that junior staff are required to wear uniforms and handle a wide range of tasks, from replacing light bulbs to ordering business cards. Despite this, she remains dedicated, driven by the need to clear her family's debt. Emiri soon becomes a point of contention among her coworkers. Senior female employees are annoyed by her refusal to join their coffee breaks and social gatherings. In contrast, the male employees appreciate working with her, though often only when her appearance is useful for client-related events. As a result, she is not given meaningful responsibilities. Although Emiri is popular with the male staff, she is increasingly isolated by the senior female employees. Eventually, she grows frustrated with her situation and decides to take action.
