Kei Nagai, a diligent student, discovers he is immortal after surviving a severe truck accident. Overwhelmed and frightened by his new reality, he retreats to a remote location, relying only on his childhood friend Kaito for support.

Tosaki seeks to exploit the Ajin for political power, while Kei and Kaito encounter bandits who are hunting them for a monetary reward.

Kaito and Kei are chased by a mysterious motorcyclist who forces them into a crash, but Kaito manages to overcome the attacker. Meanwhile, Yu Tosaki discovers that Sato, a character from the initial accident, is an Ajin hunter.

Izumi confronts an otherworldly entity in Eriko's hospital room. Following her farewell with Kaito, Kei is handed a cryptic invitation.

As governments offer bounties for their capture, a high school student's quiet summer is upended when he becomes entangled in the hunt for these elusive individuals.

Nagai and his allies return following their defeat at the hands of Sato, with Nagai grappling with feelings of failure. As Sato moves forward with his plan to establish an Ajin-dominated Japan, Tosaki attempts to rally the group for another attempt to stop him, but Nagai resists.

Tensions rise as Satō-san deploys a chemical weapon, leading to public panic and violence directed at Ajin families. Nagai, with help from Kaito, protects his sister and later entrusts her to Kaito's care.

Members of Satō's group defect and reach out to Nagai. Meanwhile, the US considers using chemical weapons against Satō in the sewer system. Tosaki is contacted for help, prompting Nagai and his team to pursue Satō again.

Sato, caught off guard, devises a final plan to eliminate the remaining members of the team.
