Appare-Ranman!
In the late 19th century, the brilliant but socially awkward engineer Sorano Appare and the intelligent yet timid samurai Isshiki Kosame find themselves stranded at sea between Japan and America. Struggling with limited funds, they decide to compete in the Trans-America Wild Race in hopes of winning the prize money to return home. As they travel across the United States—from Los Angeles to New York—in the steam-powered car they built, the two face numerous challenges, including rival racers, bandits, and the harsh wilderness.
