In 1931, Carol, an assistant to Daily Days vice president Gustav St-Germain, investigates a series of mysterious events spanning several years, uncovering a complex narrative involving a violent feud between the Runorata and Gandor families. As she delves deeper, she learns that Gustavo Runorata may be responsible for the deaths of Luck and Firo and is now targeting Dallas to cover his tracks, while a separate incident aboard the Flying Pussyfoot leaves Ludd and Lua as the only survivors, both seriously injured.

In the late 1930s, Isaac and Miria struggle in a California gold mine with no luck, prompting a letter from their friend Ennis in New York urging them to return. Unable to afford the trip, they steal money from the mafia and travel on the Flying Pussyfoot, encountering various suspicious figures. As they settle in with Jacuzzi and Nice, a mysterious event involving the "Lemurs" begins to unfold.

In 1932, Eve observes construction along the Hudson River in New York, prompting a flashback to 1931 where Runorata agents seek information about Dallas at the Daily Days. Meanwhile, in New York, two bumbling men accidentally set fire to a storehouse containing the Immortality Elixir, which old man Barnes manages to salvage before encountering further complications. Tensions also rise at the Flying Pussyfoot as events there begin to escalate.

Russo discovers his money has been stolen and one of his men has been killed just hours before the Flying Pussyfoot is set to depart. Meanwhile, Ladd demonstrates his violent tendencies both in California and aboard the ship, where Vicky is killed by the "Lemurs." In New York, Isaac and Miria are struck by a car driven by Ennis, who is transporting Szilard to a secret society of elderly men.

In 1931, as the Flying Pussyfoot prepares to depart, Jacuzzi narrowly escapes being killed by Russo's men and later discovers a dead conductor aboard. Meanwhile, in 1930 New York, Mr. Barnes awakens in the secret social society's location, and Szilard investigates the events. In another storyline, Gustavo travels to Dallas after his subordinates fail to locate him, while Firo is inducted into the Camorras following a ceremonial knife fight with Maiza.

In 1931 aboard the Flying Pussyfoot, a mysterious figure known as the "Rail Tracer" begins killing members of the "Lumeres," though the motive remains unclear. Meanwhile, in 1930 New York, Dallas and his gang seek help from Luck after encountering trouble but are expelled and abandon a crate taken from Mr. Barnes. On the train, Czeslaw abandons Mary in a closet to search for Immortals, while Nice, Jacuzzi, and Donny free Nick from captivity. In New York, Isaac and Miria are interrupted by Dallas, who attacks them before being subdued by Ennis, who is tasked with returning them. Later, Gustavo plots to kidnap Eve in an attempt to lure Dallas out.

In 1711, aboard the ship *Advena Avis*, a group of alchemists led by Maiza successfully summons a demon to obtain the Immortal Elixir, which comes with three conditions. As the alchemists agree to keep the secret within their circle, tensions rise, particularly with Szilard, who becomes increasingly eager to exploit the knowledge for personal gain.

Meanwhile, in 1930 New York, Eve, grieving over her missing brother, overhears Isaac and Miria's conversation and becomes involved with them, eventually learning about her brother Dallas. As Isaac and Miria grow closer to Eve, they consider robbing the Genoard family, while on the Flying Pussyfoot, Jacuzzi and the others split into two groups to search for the missing pair.

In 1931, aboard the Flying Pussyfoot, Ladd becomes frantic upon discovering bodies in the conductor's cabin, including those of a conductor and Dune, leading to a revelation about the Rail Tracer's true identity as the elusive assassin Claire Stanfield, also known as Vino. In 1932, Rachel returns to the Daily Days in New York to share her findings with Nicholas and the newspaper's president. Meanwhile, back in 1930, Dallas and his gang awaken after being dosed with Mr. Barnes' Immortal Elixir, and Szilard, one of them, decides to use their newfound condition to target the Gandors.

In 1931, Senator Beriam visits imprisoned Huey Laforet to discuss events aboard the Flying Pussyfoot, though Huey appears already aware due to his daughter Chane's presence. Meanwhile, Czeslaw attempts to negotiate with Ladd for help finding an Immortal, but is refused. In 1932, Eve escapes from Gustavo and seeks help from Elean of the Daily Days to locate her brother Dallas at Gandor headquarters. In 1930, Isaac and Miria plan a robbery, stealing a crate from Dallas, which they mistakenly believe contains alcohol, and take it to Martillo's office.

In 1931, Chane is forced to flee after a fight with Ladd atop the Flying Pussyfoot, prompting Goose to order his men to eliminate Chane if needed. Ladd later learns of this through information extracted from one of Goose's men. Meanwhile, Czeslaw is interrupted by Claire, who tortures him before heading to the Flying Pussyfoot to confront Ladd and Chane. In 1930, Maiza meets Szilard at a New York restaurant, where Szilard discusses his work on the Immortal Elixir. In 1932, Runorata seeks out Gandor to find information about Dallas's location.
