Banana Fish

In New York, 17-year-old Ash Lynx, a strikingly handsome and powerful street gang leader, encounters the mysterious term "Banana Fish" from a dying man, a phrase his crippled brother Griffin often used. Around the same time, Ash meets Eiji Okumura, a young Japanese boy who has arrived in the city as an assistant to a photographer.

Skip and Eiji are captured by Frederick Arthur's gang, prompting Ash to rush to their aid, but he is captured by Marvin, a former Golzine subordinate now allied with Arthur. As Ash, Skip, and Eiji attempt to escape using Ash's tactical skills, they are confronted by Shorter, leading to a violent struggle. While pursuing Marvin, Ash enters a room and discovers a shocking scene.

Ash is imprisoned and placed under the care of journalist Max by detective Charlie. While in prison, Ash is attacked by Garvey, a prisoner linked to Golzine. During his subsequent medical examination, he learns that Max has been investigating a mysterious group called the Banana Fish.

Eiji goes to Meredith's clinic at Ash's request and meets Arthur there. However, Abraham becomes disoriented when he sees Griffin coming out of the back room and shoots him. At first, Eiji thinks Griffin's mention of "Banana Fish" refers to him, but Ibé tells him to return to Japan.

Ash, released with Jenkins' approval, learns of Griffin's death and decides to go to Golzine alone. Eiji, feeling responsible for Griffin's death, insists on accompanying Ash despite his protests.

Ash and his friends travel to Cape Cod in search of evidence of the Banana Fish from Ash's childhood home. Tensions escalate when Ash's father, Jim, coldly rebuffs him, leading Eiji and Max to confront Jim about his hostility.

Ash and his companions travel to Los Angeles, following the clue "102, 42 Westwood," after escaping from Golzine's enforcers. They visit Max's ex-wife Jessica and their son Michael before arriving at a mysterious mansion, where they hear a scream emanating from inside.

Jessica and Michael are attacked, prompting Ash and Max to come to their aid. Meanwhile, Eiji, Shorter, and Ibe await their return, but Eiji is captured through a deception by Yut Lung. Sensing something amiss, Ash returns to the mansion.

Eiji and Shorter reach Golzine's residence, but Shorter is held back by the guards. Meanwhile, Ash and Max are approaching the location, and Abraham is setting up an experiment in the on-site laboratory.

Ash is deeply affected by Shorter's death. Outside the mansion, Sing and Alex begin planning a rescue mission to extract both Ash and Shorter from Golzine's property. At the same time, Golzine departs with Arthur, a departure that is witnessed by Yut Lung, who takes note of a key observation.

Ash and his team manage to escape from Golzine's mansion just as it is consumed by fire, leaving the vengeful Golzine furious. Returning to his hideout, Ash takes a brief moment to relax with Eiji before preparing for his next mission.

Arthur's team is eliminated one by one by Ash, including Wookie. Ash orders his men to drive Arthur's allied gangs out of Manhattan and begins making plans to return Eiji to Japan.

Ash makes his way to confront Arthur in their final showdown, while Eiji, who was initially ordered to return to Japan, learns about the fight and rushes to stop it despite the instructions not to.

Ash is in critical condition in the hospital after being stabbed by Arthur. While waiting for Eiji at the airport, Max and Ibe learn about the attack on the news and immediately contact Charlie. At the same time, Eiji is being held captive with a group of gang members, struggling with the lingering memory of Ash's final words.

After learning of Ash's death, Eiji takes Yut Lung hostage in an attempt to flee the mansion, but as they leave, Yut Lung pleads with him to take his own life. At the same time, Max, George, and Captain Jenkins go to the National Mental Health Institute, where they observe the autopsy of Ash's body.

Ash assumes the identity of a security guard and escapes, taking Dawson with him. The guards discover the escape but are unable to track them down. At the same time, Max and Ibe, having infiltrated the National Mental Health Institute by pretending to be officials, attempt to rescue Ash.

Ash escapes from the National Mental Health Institute and travels to Sing's hideout, where he reunites with Eiji. Sing uncovers the reason behind Shorter's murder and tries to share the information, but Ash interrupts, leading to increasing tension. At the same time, Hua-Lung asks Golzine to visit the Lee mansion, where Golzine arrives to find Yut Lung already present.

Ash returns to Eiji's care after visiting Kippard, but his sense of unease grows when he learns of Holstock's death during a trip to town with Max. He begins to suspect that both Kippard and Holstock were murdered, and the truth behind their deaths involves a shocking revelation about someone he trusts.

After being betrayed by Yut Lung, Ash is captured by Golzine. Eiji looks into Ash's disappearance and faces off with Sing, while Yut Lung tries to lure Blanca away from her new alliance.

Eiji discovers that Ash is going to attend a party hosted by Golzine and decides to go along with Sing, Cain, and Alex. At the same time, Blanca accompanies Yut Lung to the same event. Eiji then secretly approaches Ash, who is temporarily blind due to medication.

Ash and the others manage to escape from Golzine and Yut Lung, with an injured Sing successfully joining them, although his team is captured. Ash and Cain develop a plan to rescue the hostages, while Yut Lung, now in possession of them and backed by Yuen-Tai Lao, seems to be pursuing an unknown objective.

As Max and his companions are transported to the National Mental Health Institute, Ash faces off against Foxx. Meanwhile, Eiji and Sing, with the help of Cain, begin making plans to carry out a rescue. At the same time, Alex follows the vehicle that is taking Max and the others.

Eiji is injured and taken to the hospital, but Ash is stopped from going with him by Blanca. Tensions escalate when Blanca tries to treat Ash's wound, only to be faced with a gun. At the same time, Sing, weighed down by guilt over the shooting, reaches an important realization.

Ash proposes to spare Golzine's life in exchange for the release of the hostages, but Foxx betrays Golzine, prompting a tense rescue operation led by Ash, Cain, Sing, and Blanca. At the same time, Eiji, who is recovering in the hospital, decides to return to Japan, though he remains troubled by his thoughts of Ash.
