Widow Norma Bates and her quiet teenage son, Norman, relocate to a small coastal town in hopes of starting over. Their new life is thrown into disarray when an enigmatic visitor arrives, causing unrest and uncovering long-buried secrets within the community.

Dylan's actions quickly create tension at home, while the Bates family becomes more deeply involved in the concealed dangers of White Pine Bay.

Dylan starts his new job and soon discovers it presents challenges he did not expect. Meanwhile, Norman and Emma uncover a surprising revelation that alters their understanding of a crucial situation.

Norma grows increasingly suspicious of the townspeople, though her focus is repeatedly drawn to other urgent matters.

As Norma begins to receive professional support, Norman becomes increasingly determined to have her return home. At the same time, Norman and Emma uncover new clues that point to a significant revelation, and Norman remains focused on confronting Bradley.

Abernathy grows more intense in his interactions with Norma, though she remains unsure of his true intentions. At the same time, Dylan and Bradley develop a bond, and Norman's vivid imagination is encouraged by Miss Watson. Emma also embarks on a journey of her own.

Romero decides to take action, while Norman goes with Emma to the school dance. After the event, Miss Watson drives Norman home.
