Battlestar Galactica

In a distant part of the galaxy lies The Twelve Colonies of Man, a civilization that has maintained peace with the Cylons—an empire of machines—for forty years. The Cylons were originally created as worker drones for humanity but became independent, rebelled, and waged war against their creators. Now, the Cylons have evolved into machine-created biological beings that closely resemble humans, and they seek to exterminate true biological humans. To achieve this, they employ a human scientist named Gaius to assist an infiltrator known as #6 in penetrating the Colonies' central authority.

After forty years of armistice, the Cylons launch an attack on the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. Their strategy involves a virus implanted into mankind's defense system. The former Battlestar Galactica, which is being converted into a museum, is not linked to the defense system and becomes the only warship capable of fighting the Cylons, with the mission of leading the survivors to the planet "Earth."
