The story follows a dominant female CEO and a kind-hearted doctor who enter into a fake relationship for practical reasons, which eventually becomes real. After exchanging their vows, they begin a new chapter in their lives as they learn to genuinely fall in love. Lu Fangning is the general manager of Luning Group, a large home furniture company. She is a talented, beautiful, and wealthy woman in her late twenties who, under pressure from her family, decides she needs a husband and a child. She meets Ling Rui, a handsome and compassionate surgeon, who becomes her ideal candidate. She manipulates her way into his life, and they eventually marry. Over time, Lu Fangning comes to realize the mistakes in her actions and makes an effort to improve. However, maintaining their marriage proves to be more difficult than expected.
