Being a Hero

Five years ago, Wu Gang was killed by a drug trafficking organization known as "K," and his son Wu Zhen Feng was expelled from the police force. Broke and disillusioned, Wu Zhen Feng takes a bus heading toward the border, while his best friend Chen Yu follows him relentlessly. During the journey, the two are nearly kidnapped. In the attempt to save Chen Yu, Wu Zhen Feng is captured by the drug traffickers and disappears without a trace. When they meet again, Chen Yu has become a narcotics officer, while Wu Zhen Feng is now a notorious murder suspect known by the nickname "Addict Lord." Despite public opposition, Chen Yu begins an investigation to uncover the truth and clear Wu Zhen Feng’s name. However, he gradually realizes that Wu Zhen Feng’s return has a hidden motive. The two former friends become embroiled in a tense game of pursuit and evasion.
