Mirai is prohibited from hunting youmu for a month as punishment for approaching the Hollow Shadow, forcing her to take a part-time job to support herself. As she begins to open up, she may also help mend the relationships with those around her.

Mirai pursues a perverted youmu that is attracted to human girls, leading to a confrontation where Mitsuki is sprayed with its foul stink juice. The Literary Club unites to take on the powerful and extremely smelly youmu.

Sakura prepares to face Mirai, forcing Mirai to choose between fighting for survival or embracing death as penance. The episode explores what Yui's wishes might be for both Sakura and Mirai.

As The Calm approaches—a period during which youmu powers wane—Akihito, an ultra-rare half-youmu, faces uncertain consequences. Meanwhile, Miroku appears to be planning something, raising questions about his true intentions.
