Bloodivores
Sixty years ago, a mysterious case of insomnia affected the population, causing people to remain awake for over a week. As a result, the victims, severely sleep-deprived, all became insane. To treat this condition, a new medicine was developed, but it had unintended side effects that transformed patients into vampires. Humanity waged war against this new species and emerged victorious, though some vampires survived. The protagonist, Mi Liu, born of a human and a vampire, is known as "The Child of Hope" and symbolizes the potential to bridge the two species. (Source: MAL, Emon via ANN)
