Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

The Hidden Leaf Village is situated within the Land of Fire, one of the Five Great Shinobi Nations. Boruto Uzumaki resides there and is the son of the village leader, Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage. One day, Boruto rescues a boy named Denki Kaminarimon, who is being bullied. Denki is physically weak and unable to defend himself against the aggressors. While on his way to the entrance ceremony at the Ninja Academy, Boruto encounters Denki again. He observes that Denki's chakra is distorted and that he is behaving oddly.

After being suspended for causing an uproar at the entrance ceremony, Boruto attends the academy for the first time. His classmates treat him with hostility due to his status as the son of the Seventh Hokage and his recent suspension. Iwabe Yuino, one of Boruto's classmates, initiates a conflict with him. Iwabe is an older student with a strong aptitude for battle, but was held back a year because of his poor behavior. Initially, Boruto ignores Iwabe regardless of his provocations. However, when Iwabe punches Denki after being told to stop, Boruto can no longer remain indifferent.

Metal Lee, Boruto's classmate, is known for his diligence and proficiency in taijutsu. However, he often becomes nervous in the presence of others, which hinders his performance. After a remark from his classmate Shikadai Nara, Metal becomes enraged and attacks Shikadai the following day. Boruto, caught in the middle, observes that Metal's chakra is distorted, similar to Denki's.

At the suggestion of Shino Aburame, their homeroom teacher, Boruto and his classmates split into gendered teams to capture flags placed on the roof. Boruto and the rest of the boys' team quickly head for the roof, but they struggle with traps and the girls' team, led by Sarada Uchiha and Chocho Akimichi. Desperate to capture a flag before the girls' team, Boruto tries out a Summoning Jutsu, but he ends up summoning something unexpected.

A new student named Mitsuki from the Hidden Sound Village joins Boruto's class. Mitsuki transfers into Boruto's class from the Hidden Sound and quickly impresses others by overpowering Iwabe in a sparring match and solving complex problems with ease. However, Boruto and his classmates find it difficult to understand Mitsuki's thoughts or intentions. At the same time, a school repair worker suddenly goes into a violent outburst, prompting Boruto and others to rush to the scene. During the incident, another side of Mitsuki is revealed as he begins muttering strange words.

Boruto, Shikadai, and Mitsuki arrive at the location designated for them by Shino. They quickly notice that their teacher is behaving unusually, and without warning, Shino attacks them. As a member of the Aburame clan, known for their mastery of insect-based techniques, Shino releases a swarm of parasitic insects. Boruto and his companions struggle to keep up with the abilities of a jonin-level ninja. Despite the danger, Mitsuki remains composed and calmly observes Shino.

Cho-Cho becomes suspicious that someone is watching her and decides to confront the mystery. She manages to catch Magire Kakuremino in the act, only to discover that he was actually watching Sumire, the class representative, whom he secretly admires. Encouraged by Cho-Cho, Magire is urged to confess his feelings to Sumire. Though hesitant at first, he eventually gathers the courage to express his emotions to her.

A mysterious and distorted chakra, visible only to Boruto, begins to affect more people, causing them to go on violent rampages. Initially confined to those within the Academy, the chakra's influence is now spreading throughout the village. It remains uncertain whether it can be stopped. Later, Boruto is subjected to a Visual Jutsu that traps him in a dream. Afterward, he claims the dream has awakened his Byakugan, a Kekkei Genkai unique to his mother's Hyuga Clan. Naruto is skeptical of his son's claim, prompting Boruto to seek guidance from his grandfather, Hiashi Hyuga.

Boruto trains with his aunt Hanabi under the guidance of his father and grandfather. Seeking acceptance from his father, Boruto eagerly participates in the match, but despite his efforts, he is unable to activate his Byakugan in any form. This failure leads him to question whether he actually saw the shadowy warped chakra, and his doubts deepen when others begin to believe he lied. His uncertainty is later shaken when he witnesses another person being manipulated by the mysterious shadow.

Boruto gives the mysterious shadow the nickname "The Ghost" and becomes excited when he and his friends Shikadai and Mitsuki decide to investigate the recent "Ghost Incidents." Shino supports their efforts in secret by assigning their class a project to research various workplaces. At the same time, Sai, a former member of the ANBU Black Ops, uncovers a significant clue during his own investigation of the incident, which he is conducting on behalf of the Hokage.

During a school assignment that takes them on a tour of various workplaces, Sumire, Wasabi Izuno, and Namida Suzumeno become involved in the Ghost Incident and are injured. Boruto feels guilty for not being present to prevent their injuries and grows more determined to solve the case. With the assistance of Tayori Kuroyagi, a postal worker, as well as Shikadai and Mitsuki, the team begins to investigate the village more thoroughly. Shikadai and Mitsuki then come to a realization based on something Boruto says offhandedly.

The Ghost incidents abruptly cease, leaving Boruto and his classmates confused, though Mitsuki appears to have knowledge they do not. Mitsuki himself becomes aware of strange changes occurring within him and begins questioning his classmates in an attempt to understand his situation. Shortly afterward, an enigmatic chakra begins spreading throughout the village.

After Mitsuki reveals more information about the Ghost incidents, Boruto becomes determined to find and stop the culprit. Meanwhile, Seventh Hokage Naruto and his top advisors are shocked to learn the identity of the perpetrator from the results of Sai's investigation. At that moment, Nue—an enormous otherworldly beast—appears, posing an imminent threat to the village that forces the Sixth Hokage, Kakashi, out of retirement.

Danzo Shimura was the founder and leader of the Foundation, an elite division of the ANBU Black Ops. Recent events have been orchestrated by an individual who pledged to continue Danzo's legacy. Boruto possesses the ability to enter another world through his unusual "eye." The perpetrator is armed with the Gozu Tennou, a weapon powered by the beast Nue, and seeks to destroy the village. Boruto attempts to reason with them, but could Boruto's thoughts awaken a curse from the past?

The threat posed by the ghost to the Hidden Leaf Village has passed, and Boruto finds himself unable to access the mysterious power he previously utilized. Life in the village and at the Academy gradually returns to normal, though Boruto and his classmates remain troubled by one lingering issue.

Exam day is approaching, and students at the Academy begin preparing. Those who fail a test may be required to repeat the grade. Denki, who struggles with ninjutsu, finds it difficult to use chakra for wall climbing. Iwabe, as always, has trouble understanding his studies. Boruto and others attempt to assist Denki and Iwabe with their training and lessons, but their efforts only add to the confusion. Whether Denki and Iwabe will avoid being held back remains uncertain.

Sarada agrees to return a teddy bear to a young patient at the hospital, but she forgets it on the train and goes into a panic. Despite having dismissed Boruto and the boys for sitting on the roof of the train, Sarada does exactly that in her desperate search for the toy. Cho-Cho happens to see Sarada and takes her to the station’s lost and found. Sarada retrieves her package and all is well, until…

The Uzumaki household is thrown into chaos when Himawari, Boruto's younger sister, catches a cold. Naruto rarely comes home since he became Hokage, and Boruto's anger toward him grows, especially because his sister is so sick.

Boruto plays a prank and is chased around the village by Naruto. Observing this, Sarada feels exasperated, yet a part of her becomes wistful as she thinks about her father, Sasuke, whom she has never met, having only known him from stories and never seen since infancy. Her feelings shift when she sees a photograph of Sasuke with a young woman wearing glasses, which leads her to begin doubting what she has been told. Sarada becomes determined to uncover the truth. Will the secret behind Sarada Uchiha's birth finally be revealed?

Sasuke sends a message to Naruto about a man who possesses the Sharingan. Upon receiving this information, Naruto hurries to meet with Sasuke. At the same time, Sarada, who is uncertain about the identity of her real mother, joins Cho-Cho, who is preparing to embark on a journey to find her "real parents." When they learn that Naruto is heading to meet Sasuke, they decide to follow him. However, danger arises as they come under attack.

Sarada arrives at the tower where her father is, only to be hurt by Sasuke's surprising words and actions. Naruto and Cho-Cho struggle to watch the tense and awkward exchange between father and daughter, and they try to think of a way to help. However, their group is attacked by a father-son duo who refer to themselves as "Shin Uchiha," and who possess the Sharingan. Sarada is shocked when Sakura is captured by Shin's jutsu. Even Naruto, known for his exceptional tracking skills, fails to locate her. Sasuke then discovers numerous Sharingan embedded in Shin's arm. Using clues from Shin's arm, the group finds the laboratory of the notorious Hidden Leaf criminal Orochimaru, who has been researching Forbidden Jutsu. There, Sarada meets Suigetsu Hozuki and Jugo, former partners of her father. She then asks Suigetsu to investigate the identity of her real mother.

Determined to rescue Sakura, Sarada pursues Shin alongside Sasuke, Naruto, and Cho-Cho. After enduring brutal battles with Shin's clones along the way, Sarada is surprised to witness the bond of trust between Sasuke and Sakura, who have not seen each other in years. However, the situation takes a dangerous turn when Shin suddenly orders his children to kill the intruders. With her parents united by trust and love, the question remains: will Sarada's journey to uncover the secret of her birth finally reach a conclusion?

The Hidden Leaf Village is abuzz with anticipation as the Kage arrive for the Five Kage Summit. Boruto is aware that security has been heightened, yet he remains determined to carry out a major prank. At the same time, Sarada sets a new personal goal: to become Hokage, and she dedicates herself to rigorous training. In private meetings, the Five Kage review confidential information provided by Sasuke, concerning Kaguya Otsutsuki.

Boruto and his classmates travel to the Village Hidden in the Mist in the Land of Water for a field trip. Kagura Karatachi is selected to serve as their guide. Roughly the same age as Boruto, Kagura is already a skilled shinobi and acts as an aide to the Mizukage, Chojuro. Once known as the Blood Mist Village, it has now become more modern and lively than previously imagined. However, some of the Hidden Mist shinobi remain dissatisfied.

Boruto and his classmates are invited to tour the Hidden Mist Academy, escorted by Kagura and Chojuro. The Hidden Mist is known for its focus on swordsmanship, and Boruto is impressed by the intensity of their training sessions. Noticing Boruto's interest, Chojuro arranges for a sparring match between him and Kagura, who appears reluctant. Kagura is highly skilled and has been offered the opportunity by Chojuro to become the successor to his Great Twin Sword, Hiramekarei, which he has refused.

Tsurushi Hachiya, a former classmate of Kagura from the Academy, finds Boruto and his Leaf ninja friends to be annoying and decides to kidnap Denki. In response, Kagura and Boruto go after him to carry out a rescue mission, leading to a confrontation with Hachiya and his group. During the ensuing battle, a secret that Kagura has been keeping is ultimately exposed.

Kagura decides to accept the famous sword Hiramekarei from Chojuro, unaware that he is becoming entangled in a scheme orchestrated by Kagura’s former acquaintance, Shizuma Hoshigaki, a man who is opposed to the new, peaceful shinobi order.

Kagura opens the storeroom to allow Shizuma to retrieve the Mist Blades. The New Seven Ninja Swordsmen initiate a rebellion with the ultimate aim of restoring their village to its former state as the Blood Mist Village. Word of the uprising reaches Chojuro and Mei, the current and former Mizukage, who resolve to carry out the execution of those responsible, including Kagura, who assisted them. To persuade Chojuro otherwise, Boruto makes a surprising declaration.

Chojuro leads Boruto and Sarada to the location where Shizuma and his "New Seven Shinobi Swordsmen" are based. Shizuma uses his jutsu to create a fog that clouds the trio's vision, and they end up getting separated. Sarada is forced into one-on-one combat with a kunoichi, Buntan Kurosuki, who wields the Lightning Blade, Kiba the Fang. In the thick fog, Sarada uses her Sharingan, but her enemy is stronger than expected. Driven into a corner, she comes up with a counterattack. Meanwhile, Boruto goes up against none other than Kagura.

Boruto tries to convince his friend Kagura to return with him, but Kagura refuses and turns aggressive. Despite Boruto's efforts to protect him, Kagura remains under Shizuma's influence and cannot resist. As the two clash, someone intervenes in the middle of the fight. It is Mitsuki, who has acquired information about the rebellion. The question remains—what is the nature of the intel, and will Boruto be able to save his friend?

The field trip concludes, and Boruto Uzumaki, along with his classmates, prepares to return to the Hidden Leaf Village. Chojuro, the current Mizukage, sees them off at the village border, though Kagura is absent from the farewell. The group arrives back in the Leaf Village safely, and Boruto is relieved to be home. However, his younger sister Himawari is not in her usual cheerful mood. She had been eagerly anticipating the souvenir Boruto had promised to bring her, which he had completely forgotten. Boruto attempts to apologize and make amends, but he misses his opportunity, and the situation escalates.

Inojin has loved drawing since childhood, and his ninja specialty is the Super Beast Scroll. However, one day, he suddenly loses the ability to use his jutsu. Confused, he speaks with his father, Sai, who also employs the same technique. Although Sai is understanding, he does not offer Inojin a solution to his problem. Instead, he encourages his son to participate in a children's art contest, which Inojin reluctantly agrees to do.

Boruto and his classmates plan a camping trip in hopes of catching the mysterious Eternal Carp, a fish rumored to have an unforgettable flavor. With graduation approaching and the possibility that this might be their final shared activity, Boruto sees it as the ideal chance to catch one. However, the fish turns out to be extremely difficult to catch.

Before their graduation exams, the students are required to participate in a three-person interview to discuss their future plans. Boruto, who has excelled in his ninjutsu courses, begins to believe that his path to becoming a ninja has been smooth and effortless. As they prepare for their finals, Boruto meets a journalist named Sukea, who is working on a story about them. Sukea becomes concerned by Boruto's casual attitude toward his future as a ninja and offers him a warning.

During the graduation exams, Boruto and his classmates complete the first-round written exam and advance to the next stage. The second round involves the students engaging in combat scenarios against Kakashi, the former Sixth Hokage, and the academy instructors. The challenge requires them to "steal the bell" from Kakashi, prompting each student to take immediate action. However, the students struggle against Kakashi and the instructors who protect him. Despite the difficulty, Boruto manages to reach Kakashi first, but the Sixth Hokage does not show him any leniency. After a difficult battle, Kakashi coldly informs Boruto that he is not suitable to become a ninja.

Boruto is the first to challenge Kakashi during the exam. Though he puts up a strong effort, he is overpowered and becomes frustrated by Kakashi's harsh critique of his class. Soon after, Boruto's classmates arrive to help, allowing him to retreat. Although disheartened by his own failures, Boruto is able to move past them and develop a plan, aided by the support of his friends.

Boruto and his classmates begin their journey as genin, forming basic three-member shinobi squads based on their abilities and compatibility. Boruto had hoped to be placed with Shikadai, but is disappointed when Shikadai chooses to join the "Ino-Shika-Cho" team, following in his father's footsteps. Boruto is instead paired with Sarada and Mitsuki. Due to their dissatisfaction with the assignment, Boruto and Sarada appeal directly to the Hokage to have the decision reversed.

Mitsuki, originally from the Village Hidden in the Sound, has resolved to become a Hidden Leaf shinobi. In the past, he experienced memory loss, leaving him in an unfamiliar setting and uncertain of his identity and purpose. As he confronts a difficult decision, the thoughts and emotions that were once unclear to him begin to emerge.

Team 7 begins their first mission, tasked with eliminating bandits who have been terrorizing a village. Their client is a community seeking protection, and the mission is to rid the area of the threat. Upon arrival, they meet Kiri, a young girl who has recently been appointed as the village head following her father's unexpected death. As the mission progresses, the team discovers that the situation is more perilous and complex than initially anticipated.

Team 7's initial mission shifts to a rescue operation after Kiri is taken hostage. The team encounters a powerful genjutsu user and a highly skilled swordsman. Carrying out Konohamaru's instructions, they manage to free Kiri. However, Konohamaru is subsequently captured, leaving the trio to fight the enemy alone while ensuring Kiri's safety.

Boruto expresses frustration over the team's unchallenging and unexciting missions from the start. Team 7 is tasked with capturing a suspect who has taken refuge inside a bank. Eager to demonstrate his abilities once more, Boruto and his teammates quickly head to the location. However, the suspect proves to be a timid man who was recently laid off. A new possibility emerges that a particular organization may be behind the situation.

An incident takes place in Hidden Leaf Village, with suspicion falling on the Byakuya Gang. The gang is known for stealing from the wealthy and distributing the goods to the poor, and has been active in several villages in recent times. Boruto opposes the gang's actions, believing that stealing remains wrong regardless of the perceived nobility of the cause.

The Byakuya Gang's operations grow increasingly bold within the Hidden Leaf Village. While some villagers regard them as heroic and noble thieves, Boruto remains unable to condone their actions. The genin are tasked with working together to apprehend the gang, and the village's security is heightened in response. During this period, Shikadai forms a connection with a young boy named Ryugi, and despite their age difference, a bond begins to develop between them.

Shikadai and Ryogi formed a friendship through playing shogi, but recently Ryogi has stopped showing up at their usual meeting spot. Shikadai grew concerned about Ryogi's behavior during their last encounter but has not voiced his worries. Meanwhile, Ryogi is also concerned about Shikadai, though he is troubled by memories he cannot forget.

The protest led by the Byakuya Gang against the Kaminarimon Company escalates in intensity. The Leaf Shinobi, including genin, are deployed to manage the situation. Each team is assigned a specific area to monitor the demonstrators, with Team 10—comprising Shikadai, Inojin, and Cho-Cho—taking their designated position. However, while reviewing the position chart, Shikadai observes something unusual and quickly leaves the group on his own.

During the protests, the Byakuya Gang attacks Katasuke's research center, which has been developing new technology for Scientific Ninja Tools. Shikadai figures out what the Byakuya Gang's goal is and rushes after them in pursuit with Boruto close by. Even a weak "pawn" can become strong in one move—what are the two friends who bonded through shogi seeking?

Udon Ise, the jonin captain of Team 5, receives a direct order from the Hokage instructing Iwabe, Denki, and Metal: "In order to attract more students to the Ninjutsu Department of the Academy, you will appear in a PR video documentary." During the Byakuya Gang incident, the three were under suspension and could only watch as their genin classmates took action. Determined to prove themselves, the trio resolve to do their best in the documentary, though Udon appears skeptical.

Hanabi Hyuga, Boruto's aunt, commands an all-female team consisting of Sumire, Wasabi, and Namida. Their assignment is to retrieve animals that have been freed from their enclosures at the zoo. The Chunin Exam brings together outstanding genin from various villages to compete against one another as a means of evaluating their skills. Konohamaru, Udon, and Moegi, who are childhood friends and teammates, consider whether the genin they are mentoring will be capable of withstanding the challenges posed by the Chunin Exam.

Boruto overhears comments being made about him and his father, which adds to his distress, especially since Naruto has failed to keep his promise to be home for Boruto's birthday. Shortly afterward, Team 7 is assigned a mission to apprehend a group of thieves targeting the Thunder Train, who are hiding in a town near the border of the Land of Fire. However, when Team 7 arrives in the town, they discover that something is amiss with one of the captured thieves.

Team 7 enters the mine where the thieves had been hiding out, only to be attacked by a powerful, strange-looking White Zetsu. They find out the mine connects to a ruin belonging to Kaguya Otsutsuki. Team 7 decides to investigate and engage the White Zetsu. As they proceed deeper and deeper into the mine, they make a shocking discovery.

As the Chunin Exams draw near, excitement builds among the characters, though Boruto remains an exception, his mood causing concern for those around him. During this period, Boruto and his family have a rare opportunity to spend time together, celebrating Himawari's birthday. For once, it appears that Boruto's father has honored his promise to be present.

After being unable to contain his anger toward his father for ruining both Himawari’s birthday and his own, Boruto rushes out to confront Naruto. He encounters Sasuke and, without realizing who he is, attacks him, only to be quickly subdued. Impressed by Sasuke’s strength, Boruto asks him to be his teacher. Sasuke agrees, but only after Boruto successfully uses the Rasengan. To earn Sasuke's approval, Boruto undergoes intense and unusual training.

Boruto successfully refines his Rasengan and begins training under Sasuke. Sasuke is a strict instructor, as Boruto often lacks focus and is preoccupied with the idea of surpassing his father, frequently seeking shortcuts when training becomes challenging. Iwabe, Sumire, and others decide to participate in the Chunin Exam and submit their applications. Wanting to demonstrate his abilities to Naruto, Boruto also decides to apply. At the same time, the Otsutsuki Clan turns their attention toward Killer Bee.

The Chunin Exams are about to begin, and genin from other villages arrive in large numbers. The Hidden Sand's participants include Shinki, the adopted son of the Kazekage, along with his teammates Yodo and Araya. The Hidden Mist sends the Senka triplets, the Hidden Cloud sends Yurui, Iroi, and Tarui, and the Hidden Rock sends the Genbu Three. As strong competitors arrive, tensions rise as each participant assesses the others, preparing for the first round of the Chunin Exams.

The second round of the Chunin Exams begins with a team-based challenge in which three-member squads must capture their opponents' flags. Sarada and Mitsuki venture into enemy territory, leaving Boruto to defend their team's flag. The Senka Triplets from the Hidden Mist launch an attack, putting Boruto in a difficult situation. He considers using the Scientific Ninja Tool provided by Katasuke, but its use is prohibited during the exam.

The third round of the exams begins as a tournament-style series of individual battles. Boruto faces Yurui from the Hidden Cloud, while Shikadai is matched against Yodo from the Hidden Sand. Sarada and Mitsuki battle Tarui and Toroi of the Hidden Cloud, and Inojin and Cho-Cho take on Araya and Shinki from the Hidden Sand, respectively. After refining their jutsu techniques and strategic approaches, the intense fights among the young shinobi commence.

The match between Cho-Cho and Shinki of the Hidden Sand begins. Facing an opponent who is remarkably calm and intimidating, Cho-Cho adopts a serious demeanor that she seldom shows, as her teammates watch and encourage her. Following this, Boruto and Shikadai's match is next, and the moment draws closer when the two friends will finally face each other for the first time.

The tournament approaches its climax with the matches of Sarada against Araya of the Hidden Sand and Mitsuki against Shinki of the Hidden San. Sarada employs her shuriken techniques and Sharingan abilities to press Araya, but he effortlessly counters her attacks. Her genjutsu proves ineffective, and she finds herself cornered. Meanwhile, Mitsuki and Shinki engage in a closely contested battle, showcasing their skills in an evenly matched display.

The final battle of the tournament begins with Boruto, Sarada, and Shinki participating in a battle royale. As the lone representative remaining from the Hidden Sand, Shinki is determined to preserve the pride of the Sand and goes on the offensive against Boruto and Sarada. Boruto and Sarada team up to fight Shinki, but he puts up an impenetrable defense. Sarada falls, and Boruto's chakra is nearly exhausted, but he refuses to give up.

Momoshiki, Kinshiki, and Urashiki of the Otsutsuki Clan suddenly appear in the arena filled with spectators. Boruto uses his Scientific Ninja Tool to hurl jutsu after jutsu at Momoshiki, who is targeting Naruto. Meanwhile, Urashiki, intrigued by Mitsuki's strange power, pursues him but is confronted by Gaara and the Mizukage, Chojuro. Naruto and the other ninja do all they can to protect the citizens, and Boruto, for the first time, witnesses the magnitude of his father's power in real combat.

Naruto gives everything he has to protect everyone from the Otsutsuki Clan. Boruto comes to understand the depth of his father's love for the village and its people, as well as his own limitations. As he watches his friends helping with repairs and tending to the injured in the wake of the attack, Boruto begins to grasp the meaning behind his father's words. Recognizing that this experience has helped his student grow, Sasuke brings up a specific mission.

Sasuke and the Kage engage in a fierce battle against the overwhelmingly powerful Momoshiki and Kinshiki from the Otsutsuki Clan. Meanwhile, Boruto and Naruto, who have often had a strained relationship, confront each other and experience a rare moment of connection. However, their emotional reunion is cut short when Momoshiki intervenes.

In the battle, Naruto and Sasuke confront Momoshiki Otsutsuki. Although they manage to weaken him, Momoshiki is aided by Katasuke and the Scientific Ninja Tool, allowing him to continue the fight. Ultimately, Boruto is the one who defeats Momoshiki. As he lies dying, Momoshiki speaks to Boruto and bestows upon him the Karma Seal.

Boruto has gone around apologizing to everyone for his actions during the exam, but he remains troubled by Momoshiki's prophecy.

Tomaru and Ashina, two popular actors, begin receiving death threats from an unknown individual, prompting the assignment of Team 10 to work alongside Team 7 in their protection. The two teams gather to receive the details of their mission, but during the briefing, Boruto notices a beautiful girl he does not recognize.

The movie studio where Team 7 and Team 10 are assigned is attacked by a mysterious ninja. The lead actress is injured, and Tomaru, the lead actor, chooses Cho-Cho as her stand-in. Tomaru's flirtatious behavior leaves Cho-Cho elated, but Sarada and the others are concerned that Cho-Cho's infatuation may be distracting her from the mission.

The ninja wearing a gas mask reappears during the filming and abducts Tomaru. In the village, news spreads that Boruto and Sarada have gone missing in pursuit of Mitsuki, prompting Shikadai and Team 10 to be assigned a mission to track them down and bring them back.

Orochimaru informs Boruto and Sakura about the White Snake Sage, who resides in Ryuchi Cave. As they travel toward the cave, they are intercepted by Team 10, who aims to bring the two back to the village to prevent them from being classified as "rogue" ninja. However, Boruto and Sarada refuse to comply until they uncover the truth from Mitsuki, leading to a confrontation in which they use all their abilities.

Boruto and his companions travel to Ryuchi Cave in hopes of meeting the White Snake Sage. However, the journey proves difficult, as they have no idea where the cave is located. After searching for miles and growing exhausted and hungry, the cave suddenly appears before them, accompanied by mysterious women who offer to guide them. The group is informed that they must complete a series of trials in order to meet the White Snake Sage.

The White Snake Sage instructs Boruto to retrieve the "Reverse Scale" from Garaga, a problematic serpent. Boruto and his companions venture further into Ryuchi Cave, where they encounter a massive serpent. It is Garaga, the target of their mission, and its overwhelming strength forces the group into a difficult position. At the same time, Moegi informs them that Mitsuki's disappearance may be connected to someone with access to vital village secrets.

Boruto and the others team up to retrieve the Reverse Scale from Garaga. However, the battle is challenging, as Garaga possesses the ability to detect the location of his enemies and turn them into stone. During the fight, the team observes irregularities in Garaga's movements and devise an effective strategy to overcome him. Boruto experiences a strange sensation and makes Garaga an offer.

Mitsuki makes his way toward Kokuyou and Sekiei's homeland, the Land of Earth. At the same time, Boruto and the others, aided by the power of the White Snake Sage, discover that Mitsuki is with the Hidden Stone Ninja and set out for the Land of Earth as well. Each group has its own objectives, but whether they will be able to successfully meet remains uncertain.

Kokuyou confronts Boruto and the others. Driven solely by his desire to grow stronger, Kokuyou demonstrates immense power by defeating the Leaf ninja pursuing Mitsuki. He quickly overwhelms Boruto and his team, pushing them to the brink. Just then, reinforcements arrive. Ohnoki takes Boruto to a special location to explain his vision of the future, which was formed after the loss of his grandchild, Kozuchi. At the same time, time is running out for Ku and his supporters, who rush to set their plan in motion. At the same time, reflecting on Boruto's words and the changes occurring in his village, Ohnoki comes to the realization that he has made a mistake.

After sustaining severe damage from Mitsuki’s attack, Ku escapes the scene. Boruto and Sarada attempt to pursue him, but their path is blocked by Kirara. At the same time, Sekiei observes the events as they unfold. Confused and shocked by Mitsuki’s actions, Sekiei attacks him recklessly. Mitsuki, who has no desire to fight, tries to stop him.

When the day arrives, Boruto is pleased that his father has completed his work and returned home, so he decides to let Naruto spend his time with Himawari.

Boruto encounters his teacher, Sasuke, who has returned to the village after a long absence. As Boruto explains the village's new holiday, Sasuke reflects on his time with his father, Fugaku, and his beloved brother, Itachi. Inspired by these memories, Sasuke decides to spend time with Sarada.

Boruto and Sarada confirm Juugo's appearance, but they quickly realize that Juugo is under the influence of a "Cursed Seal," which has transformed him into a ferocious monster. The "Cursed Seal" is one of Orochimaru's research materials, known for amplifying strength and stimulating the attack instincts of living beings.
