Cagaster of an Insect Cage

While working security for a merchant, exterminator Kidow steps in to deal with an insect attack and offers to take the young girl Ilie to her mother.

Kidow begins to question whether a series of brutal murders are truly the result of insect activity. Meanwhile, Ilie has her bag stolen while shopping at the market.

Ilie forms a new alliance with the leader of the Red Rats, while Kidow receives a mysterious letter and a map that mark the sites of several murders at Mario Garden.

As the military readies an operation to eliminate a hidden insect threat beneath the sand in E-05, Qasim, still haunted by guilt over a past decision, offers himself as bait.

Ilie learns from Mario about Lazarus, Kidow's adoptive father, and the brutal survival lessons he imparted in the Cagaster-ridden Far East.

A man arrives claiming to be Ilie's father and attempts to take her with him, prompting her and Kidow to try and escape. Their attempt is interrupted when they are ambushed by Acht.

Jin and Kidow uncover a message left by Griffith for Franz, which sheds light on his motivations and provides insight into Ilie's mysterious background.

Adham's forces conspire to depose the Bazaar Overseer and transform E-05 into an insect containment facility. After escaping to E-07, Kidow finds Ilie being held as a prisoner.

Kidow enters the main tower of E-07 to locate Ilie. Upon discovering the truth about her past, Ilie declares her intention to become the next queen of the cage.

Ilie and Kidow reunite and head toward the throne room, facing opposition from Adham's guards and a large number of Cagasters.

Franz, severely wounded, leads Ilie to the queen's chamber and entrusts her with the decision of Tania's future. Meanwhile, Acht and Kidow prepare for their climactic confrontation.

With the conflict between Salif’s army and the defenders of E-05 nearing its conclusion, those remaining in E-07's central tower begin to grapple with what comes next.
