Synopsis
After a successful surgery, Candy encounters subtle but persistent gender and class biases, and she uncovers a surprising connection between Dr. Kerry and the fugitive Arthur Kerry she previously met on a train. Arthur, who became a criminal after a tragic confrontation at his job, is believed to be hiding in Chicago, prompting Dr. Kerry to take time off to search for him. With Dr. Kerry away, Candy is left alone and faces pressure from Nelson to leave.
