Synopsis
While Candy sleeps, Albert quietly leaves for the day, leaving a letter of thanks. Dr. Martin informs Candy that Albert said goodbye early and departed with some men. Meanwhile, Neil defies his mother and Eliza, declaring his love for Candy and their plan to run away. At a church reminiscent of Pony's Home, Candy prays for Albert and encounters Patricia, who is praying for Alistear in France. Patricia shares a letter from him describing the death of his friend and his disillusionment with war. Candy gives Patricia the music box Alistear made for her as a comfort.
