Kumagami shares information about an ability user with the student council, leading their attention to a baseball pitcher Tomori is already interested in, who possesses telekinetic abilities. The council confronts him by challenging him to a baseball game after learning he uses his power to throw unconventional and difficult pitches.

Guided by a clue from Kumagami, the student council continues their mountain stakeout in search of someone with a special ability. While they pass the time with activities like barbecuing and fishing, Yu discovers the music of ZHIEND through Tomori's player. As their search continues, a mysterious figure appears before them.

Yu and Tomori visit Ayumi, who is home with a cold, and she shares a troubling nightmare. Kumagami believes the location of a new ability wielder is where Ayumi is staying. Tomori suggests that the dream may offer clues about Ayumi's power and encourages Yu to explore its details with her.

Yu, devastated by the loss of his younger sister Ayumi, withdraws from society and stops all contact with friends and family. Despite the student council's efforts to reach out, he isolates himself, descending into a life of despair—until a mysterious presence begins to appear before him.

Yu returns to school, finding solace in its unchanged routine as he begins to come to terms with Ayumi's death. Later, he attends a ZHIEND concert with Tomori, but on his way home, he encounters a foreign woman using a white cane.

Shunsuke, Yu's older brother, once had the ability to leap through time, but has lost his eyesight due to repeated use of the power and can no longer use it. Now, Yu must step in and take on the responsibility of saving Ayumi.
