Claymore

A village faces a deadly threat from a Yoma, a demon that has taken the form of its human victim. Desperate, the village chief calls upon a Claymore, a powerful but feared warrior who is part human and part Yoma. A young boy named Raki becomes fascinated with the Claymore and follows her, eventually uncovering the true identity of the Yoma.

Claire quickly finishes her mission and departs with Raki while waiting for her next assignment. A mysterious man from the organization gives Claire a new outfit and a mysterious "Black Card," leaving her to wonder about its significance. Later, Raki meets the same man, who reveals the true nature of Claymores as beings who are half human and half Yoma.

Rabona, a holy city that prohibits the entry of unnatural beings, is attacked by a Yoma and is forced to break its own laws by seeking outside help. Claire is called in to handle the situation in a manner different from her usual Yoma hunts, requiring her to operate covertly and suppress her powers. While on her mission, she encounters two soldiers who complicate her work, and later faces a particularly powerful Yoma known as the "Voracious Eater.

Claire suffers severe injuries during a battle with a Yoma, which retreats when interrupted just as it is about to kill her. She is taken to an inn to recover, with Raki staying by her side, while Father Vincent offers to assist in tracking the Yoma, raising suspicions. As Claire struggles to regain strength, she begins to experience a loss of control, complicating her recovery and mission.

A Claymore named Teresa arrives in the town of Teo and swiftly defeats a group of Yoma with ease. Known for her calm demeanor and rarely using her full power, she earns the nickname "Teresa of the Faint Smile." After the battle, a nameless girl who had been with one of the Yoma becomes inexplicably drawn to Teresa and begins to follow her.

Teresa, having learned the name of the girl who has been following her—Claire—heads to the town of Rokut to leave her there. While resting in the woods at night, they are attacked by a man seeking revenge for the loss of his arm, but Claire proves instrumental in saving Teresa, not just from the man but in a more personal way. Later, Teresa confronts the bandits again, and their actions lead her to take a drastic and morally ambiguous step.

Sophia and Noel, two new Claymores, easily eliminate a large number of Yoma in a town overrun by the creatures, with Irene finishing off the remaining ones. Meanwhile, Claymores numbered 2 through 5 have assembled to carry out Teresa's execution following her betrayal, though one key Claymore is still missing, setting the stage for a major battle among the warriors.

Teresa of the Faint Smile continues the battle by confronting the Numbers 2-5 Claymores, who unleash their full strength. Meanwhile, Priscilla, overwhelmed by emotion, pushes past her limits and transforms into an "Awakened One.

Three Claymores arrive in Toriro to find Claire has already defeated the Yomas. It is revealed that Claire had fought and killed a regular Yoma in the Holy City, not a Voracious Eater, which the Organization classifies as an "Awakened One." Claire is now assigned to an expedition team to hunt an actual Awakened One, offering an opportunity to test the full extent of her abilities.

Arriving at the mountains, the Claymore team encounters a Male Awakened One, leading to an intense battle. From a distance, another Claymore and her handler observe, seemingly with their own intentions. As the fight reaches its peak and most of the team lies wounded, Claire remains determined, rejecting what the Awakened One presents as "true despair.

Miria and Claire successfully defeat the Male Awakened One through teamwork, surprising the handler who was observing the battle, though both sustain significant injuries. As they recover, the team members begin to share their personal histories and gradually uncover a shared experience that explains why they were chosen to be on the same team. It is revealed that each of them has previously undergone the Awakening process.

Claire returns to her duties tending to Yoma with Raki, but is soon assigned a new mission to track down an Awakened One in the village of Gonahl. Upon arriving at the rendezvous point, she encounters Claymore No. 4, Ophelia, known for her love of battle and bloodlust.

Claire has separated from Raki to protect him from Ophelia, who is relentlessly pursuing her. Ophelia quickly finds Claire and engages her in a deadly confrontation, during which she reveals the origin of her title, "Ophelia of the Ripples." Just as the situation seems hopeless, a familiar figure emerges to intervene.

Claire continues her training with former number two Irene, struggling to improve without the use of her dominant arm. After parting ways with a farewell gift from Irene, Claire soon faces new trouble in the form of a monstrous foe she has previously encountered.

The Organization becomes concerned when Claire, also known as No. 47, goes silent for three months, leading them to prioritize her retrieval by deploying a Claymore. At the same time, Claire searches for Raki while a Claymore team passes through the town to hunt an Awakened One in the mountains, where strange circumstances arise.

Claire joins the search for the Awakened One in the Zakol mountains to rescue Jeane. Strange Yoki activity surrounds the lair, and despite a fierce battle, Claire struggles until Galatea arrives. The episode explores the Awakened One's motives and its efforts to gather more Awakened beings.

Clarie arrives in Jeane to rescue her, but finds she has arrived too late. Meanwhile, Galatea faces an increasingly determined Duff in a battle that proves more challenging than anticipated. The three warriors find themselves in a desperate struggle with uncertain outcomes.

Following an incident in the mountains of Zakol, Jeane agrees to accompany Claire until she can repay her debt, though Claire is already grateful for helping her master her "Flash Sword." Claire's handler, Rubel, arrives unexpectedly with combatant No. 5 "Rafaela," not to retrieve her but to enlist her in a war against Awakened beings in the Northern Lands, leading to an unforeseen reunion.

The city of Pieta is suddenly attacked by Awakened Beings, forcing the Claymores into battle against these seemingly unstoppable enemies. While some Claymores show the ability to handle the threat, the escalating danger suggests that the challenges ahead will only become more severe.

Raki travels in the Northern country with two individuals who assist him, though he does not realize they are the region's most powerful Awakened Ones, Priscilla and Isley, also known as the Person of the Abyss. Meanwhile, the Claymore teams regroup and resupply after surviving an initial attack, while various developments begin to unfold.

Isley deploys his army of 27 Awakened beings to destroy the Claymores in the City of Pieta, despite the mission's near-impossible odds. As the Claymores fight for survival, Raki travels to Pieta with Isley and Priscilla, only to uncover a startling revelation.

Rigardo, known as "The Silver-Eyed Lion King," initiates a violent campaign against the Claymore Captains, having already defeated four of them, leaving uncertainty about how many will ultimately survive. Meanwhile, Raki discovers the true nature of Priscilla and, though he feels empathy for her, continues on his path after learning that more Claymores are nearby.

Claire, while fighting the seemingly unstoppable Rigardo, begins to awaken her powers and lands a critical hit. Her emerging abilities make her a formidable opponent, prompting the "Silver-Eyed Lion King" to engage her in full force.
