Commander in Chief

Mackenzie Allen is a mother of three—two teenage twins and a six-year-old—and the wife of an ambitious husband who works from home. She is also set to become the first female president of the United States. Before assuming the presidency, however, Mackenzie, who is serving as vice president, must decide whether to defy the dying wishes of the current president, who has urged her to step aside and allow someone he deems "more appropriate" to take his place in the Oval Office. Both the late president and her own political party are pressing her to resign. When the time comes, Mackenzie refuses to be a footnote in history. Instead of yielding to pressure, she chooses to trust her instincts and accept the most powerful position in the world.
