Synopsis
Annie Jump Cannon and Cecilia Payne are recognized for their significant contributions to the field of astronomy. Cannon directed a team of women in the early 1900s in classifying stellar spectra, and Payne later joined these efforts to investigate the chemical composition of stars. The episode also uses the Ship of the Imagination to examine the life cycles of stars.
