Darker than Black
Ten years ago, a mysterious spatial anomaly known as "Heaven's Gate" appeared in South America, followed shortly by the opening of "Hell's Gate" in Tokyo, which altered the sky and caused widespread disruption to the landscape. During this period, individuals with various special abilities—referred to as "Contractors"—began to emerge, each possessing unique supernatural capabilities. In the aftermath of the catastrophic Heaven's War, the United States lost its status as a global superpower to a secretive organization called the Syndicate. The narrative centers on a Chinese Contractor codenamed "Hei," who carries out a series of espionage and assassination missions in Tokyo.
