Dash Kappei

The protagonist of the story is Kappei Sakamoto, a high school student with exceptional athletic abilities who joins the basketball team at Seirin High School and quickly becomes one of its most skilled players. Kappei faces a unique challenge due to his short stature, standing less than one meter tall. He also has an unusual fascination with female undergarments, particularly white panties, and becomes especially interested in basketball after discovering that the team's female coach, Coach Natsu, wears them. His attempts to catch a glimpse of these panties often lead to physical confrontations with the easily angered coach. Kappei's athletic talents soon extend beyond basketball, and he tries out for and excels in every sport offered by the school. In the first episode, Kappei meets Akane Aki, a kind and attractive girl who is also athletically gifted (she later joins the school's ping-pong team) and becomes the assistant coach for Seirin's basketball team. Akane's appeal to Kappei is heightened by the fact that she also wears white panties, and he sets out to win her affection. After his parents, who are frequently absent, move to the United States, Kappei eventually moves in with Akane and her family. However, Kappei faces an unusual rival in Akane's dog, Seiichiro, who has long fantasized about marrying his owner and resents Kappei's presence. Seiichiro actively tries to undermine Kappei's relationship with Akane through various schemes. Notably, Seiichiro is able to speak, though only Kappei can understand him.
