Detroit Metal City
Detroit Metal City (DMC) is a prominent death metal band known for its dark and crude style, dominating the indie music scene. The band's extravagant lead singer, Johannes Krauser II, is widely publicized as a demonic figure who has risen from the fiery pits of hell to bring the world to its knees and rule over mortals. In reality, Krauser II is the alter ego of Souichi Negishi, an average college graduate who is soft-spoken, peace-loving, and prefers listening to Swedish pop. Negishi is compelled to participate in DMC's flamboyant concerts to make ends meet. The series chronicles Negishi's comedic misadventures as he balances his hectic band life, a potential romance, and the challenges posed by his intensely devoted and obsessive fans.

Every stage matters — pitch decks and treatments from development, location scouts and table-reads from pre-production, set photos and crew anecdotes from production, edit-bay notes from post, and press kits, festival memories, or marketing ephemera from distribution. Any moment that didn't make the press tour, any document or photograph that's been sitting in a box — please share it so it's not lost to time.
We particularly welcome contributions from writers, producers, cast, crew, festival programmers, distributors, marketing teams, their families, and anyone who was there at any stage.
