Max, Rex, and Zoe, young dinosaur enthusiasts, uncover mysterious tablets and a set of Triceratops cards after a meteorite crash, leading to the unexpected summoning of a real Triceratops. Their excitement turns to concern when a group of villains arrives, seeking to exploit the cards for their own purposes.

The D-Kids discover new dinosaur cards marked with symbols matching those on Rex and Zoe's tablets, prompting them to acquire their own dinosaur partners. However, they have little time to bond before a rogue T-Rex appears in Egypt, leading them into a high-stakes chase through Giza. They soon realize they are not the only ones pursuing the dinosaur.

Max's father visits a London museum where historical artifacts have the power to bring the past to life. When a live Saichania appears and Team Alpha is already inside, Max, Rex, and Zoe must rely on their dinosaur partners to confront their rivals in a high-stakes battle. The outcome of the conflict—and Saichania's future—remains uncertain.

The D-Team travels to Zeta Point after a Ceratosaurus is activated, unaware that the location is also the secret base of the Alpha Gang.

The D-Team, along with Rod and Laura, are captured by the Alpha Gang and taken to Helga and studied, but Dr. Spike Taylor arrives to help them escape. A Daspletosaurus is activated in Bali, Indonesia, and causes disruption at a hotel. What makes the situation unusual is that the dinosaur begins dancing to the music when the D-Team and the Alpha Gang arrive.

During Rex's birthday celebration, the arrival of the Alpha Gang in New York City disrupts the festivities, culminating in Dr. Owen being taken hostage.

Meanwhile, the Alpha Gang's vehicle collides with the airplane the group is in, causing it to spin out of control. Ursula, Zander, and Ed arrive due to a Megaraptor sighting, and Max and Zoe must confront the Alpha Gang to prevent them from capturing the creature and to rescue Rex, Ace, and Dr. Reece.
