Donkey Kong Country

Set on Kongo Bongo Island, the show centers on Donkey Kong, the island's designated hero. Prior to the events of the series, he was selected as the future ruler by the Crystal Coconut, a magical artifact linked to the spirit Inka Dinka Doo. In the present, Donkey Kong must demonstrate his worthiness for the role through his heroic deeds and by protecting the coconut. With the help of allies such as his best friend and sidekick Diddy Kong and his mentor Cranky Kong, Donkey Kong defends the Crystal Coconut from a variety of threats, particularly from the villainous King K. Rool and his Kremling army, who seek to steal it in order to take control of Kongo Bongo. Donkey Kong often has to balance his responsibilities as guardian with his personal life, his relationship with Candy Kong, and his passion for eating bananas.
