Dororo

Set during Japan's Warring States period, the story follows Lord Daigo Kagemitsu, who makes a sinister pact with twelve demons, promising them his unborn child in exchange for the prosperity of his land. Many years later, a young thief named Dororo is rescued from a ghoul by a mysterious boy whose body is nearly entirely made up of artificial limbs.

Dororo and Hyakkimaru arrive at a village where they are summoned by Lady Bandai, the village chief. When Hyakkimaru suddenly draws his sword in her presence, both are imprisoned in a storehouse by the villagers, who have other captives there as well.

Jukai, a traveling doctor who specializes in fitting prosthetics for war veterans, finds a critically injured infant on a riverbank and takes it in, raising the child as his own and naming him Hyakkimaru. As Hyakkimaru grows, Jukai equips him with artificial limbs, but the boy eventually sets out on a journey to recover the body parts he was born without.

Dororo Onikimaru engages in a fierce battle with Tanosuke, who is armed with a cursed sword containing a demonic spirit. Although Onikimaru attempts to defeat him, the cursed weapon is seized by enemy horsemen, who are subsequently controlled by its dark power.

Hyakkimaru struggles to adjust to a world filled with sound. During a battle with a ghoul, he is injured and taken in by Mio, a girl who shelters war orphans. Despite his wounds, he leaves before fully healing to confront a nearby demon.

Hyakkimaru regains his voice through the devil god but loses one of his legs. After receiving treatment for his injuries at a deserted temple, he confronts the demon once more, while Mio and the children stay at an abandoned temple, waiting for his return.

A wounded spider-like monster named Jorogumo transforms into a woman to recover and takes refuge with a young man named Yajiro. At the same time, Dororo and Hyakkimaru, who failed to stop the creature, investigate a village where a kidnapper is said to be operating.

In a village where young girls are taken as sacrifices for a giant centipede demon that emerges from black clouds, Hyakkimaru and Dororo join forces with Saru, a boy whose sister was kidnapped, to fight the creature.

Dororo falls ill with a high fever and, in a delirious state, sees red spider lilies that trigger memories of time spent with his parents, Hibukuro and Ojiya.

A village within the territory of Daigo is troubled by a fearsome ghoul that dwells in a nearby lake, leading Tahomaru, along with his companions Hyogo and Mutsu, to undertake the mission of eradicating the creature.

Dororo and Hyakkimaru arrive in Lord Daigo's territory and learn about Banmon, a massive wall said to be the last remnant of an ancient border fort. A fox demon is rumored to haunt the site, and Hyakkimaru prepares to confront it.

Kagemitsu, who sacrificed his son to demons, confronts Hyakkimaru, who is seeking to reclaim the body parts stolen from him, as their paths cross in a fateful encounter.

Dororo comes across a statue of Fudo, a deity of wisdom, which is later revealed to be a demon that collects human faces in search of one that will serve as its own.

Dororo and Hyakkimaru come across a ruined temple and meet Sabame, a local ruler who claims to be familiar with its dark history and the ghoul that resides within. He invites them to his home to recount the story, but the two travelers start to question the accuracy of his tale.

Sabame makes sacrifices of villagers to demons in order to preserve his authority over the village. As Hyakkimaru fights against demon moths, Dororo finds herself confined within a storage building.

Dororo is captured by Itachi and taken toward a cape where Hibukuro is believed to have hidden money. While Itachi and his men search for boats to cross, they encounter a one-armed boy named Shiranui.

Jukai meets an injured Hyakkimaru on a battlefield and discovers his strong ties to the demons. Hyakkimaru asks for a new prosthetic leg, creating a significant moment between the two characters.

Dororo, bound and unable to move, is attacked by a fierce shark demon as it roars and lunges at him. Meanwhile, a group of soldiers led by Tahomaru approaches the cape.

Hyakkimaru and Dororo travel to a village in search of Munetsuna, a skilled swordsmith, to repair Hyakkimaru's broken weapon. Upon arriving at Munetsuna's residence, they are met by his daughter, Okowa.

Dororo and Hyakkimaru encounter Dice-spot Saburota, a young man who is also in pursuit of a demon, and they form an alliance to track it down.

Daigo Kagemitsu steps up his war preparations against the Asakura clan. Upon learning that Hyakkimaru is entering his territory, he sends Tahomaru to neutralize the threat.

Lady Nui goes to see Dororo, who is being held captive in Daigo's castle, while Hyakkimaru arrives to recover both Dororo and his own body, with Midoro accompanying him, having turned into a ghoul.

Hyakkimaru faces Tahomaru, Mutsu, and Hyogo, who have fallen under the influence of demonic forces. Dororo, Lady Nui, and Biwamaru arrive just in time to witness a fierce battle that may determine the future of the land of Daigo.

As Daigo's castle burns, two brothers face an uncertain fate. Dororo, Jukai, and Lady Nui approach the castle, each carrying their own inner turmoil. The journey of a life that began in silence continues along an unpredictable path of destiny.
