Two minutes after learning that his father has died, Jacob, a young man with an unstable job and no clear ambitions, quickly forgets about the news. He lives in a provincial city near Barcelona with his sister Ruth, and when she discovers the truth, their relationship begins to unravel. Unable to visit his family at their home or even attend the funeral, Jacob finds some support in Alba, his successful brother’s girlfriend, who shares a special bond with him. The question remains: how could he forget about his father's death? Why is he refusing to face his family? And what is the true nature of his connection with Alba? Over the course of just over 24 hours, leading up to the father’s burial, the three characters are forced to confront their fears, desires, grief, and the pressures of social expectations.
