El Chapulín Colorado
A well‑meaning but bumbling superhero races to rescue ordinary citizens from outrageous perils, all while his own slapstick mishaps threaten to turn every heroic mission into chaotic comedy.
El Chapulín Colorado is a Mexican television comedy that parodies superhero conventions. Created by actor‑comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños, known as Chespirito, the series premiered on Televisa in 1973 and ran until 1979. The show follows the titular clumsy hero, portrayed by Gómez Bolaños, who attempts to rescue people despite his frequent blunders. The program shared its cast with the contemporary sitcom El Chavo del Ocho and was broadcast throughout Latin America and Spain, continuing in reruns until 1981. Although it featured a regular ensemble of actors, each episode presented them in different roles, giving the series an anthology character while maintaining a consistent comedic style.
