Archeologist Jack Wilder discovers clues that may lead to the location of the fabled Incan city of El Dorado. His search draws the attention of a deadly mercenary, and he is captured by the corrupt Peruvian army. He is later rescued by his ex-lover, Maria Martinez, who joins him in his quest to find the legendary golden city.
