Severe internet addiction has become an epidemic affecting the nation's youth, leading to extreme dependence on the internet. To address this issue, some individuals are enrolled at Elite Reeducation Academy, a facility designed to help them transition into successful adulthood. Hibiki is one such teenager who awakens at the facility with no memory of how he arrived. He learns from the head instructor that he was brought there unconscious at the request of his mother, who was concerned about his increasingly aggressive behavior due to his internet addiction. Finding himself in a facility that feels more like a prison than an educational institution, and unable to escape the harsh treatment from the instructors, Hibiki decides to end his life by jumping from the roof. However, at that moment, he encounters a mysterious man named Shin, who offers to give Hibiki's life a new sense of purpose.
