Dan Oh, a high school student, begins experiencing strange changes—losing her memory and acting out of character—while doctors find nothing physically wrong. As she struggles to understand her new behavior, she discovers she has gained the ability to see into the future.

Dried Squid Fairy informs Dan Oh that they are in a comic book world, a reality he initially refuses to accept. She believes herself to be the main character but becomes unsettled upon discovering another character who appears to be the true female lead.

Dan Oh discovers that her purpose in the comic is to serve as a love catalyst for the main characters, which she resents. Despite her attempts to break free by destroying plaster casts, everything resets, as the story remains under the writer's control. She questions Dried Squid about a black hole she saw in the library, but he warns her it is dangerous.

Dan Oh and Kyung share dinner with their parents, and afterward, Dan Oh tells Kyung to stay away, confusing her. Later, Dan Oh falls down the stairs but is rescued by an unknown person, prompting her to try identifying the mysterious stranger.

Dan Oh locates the person she has been searching for, only to be unexpectedly transported to a hospital. There, she encounters Do Hwa, who notices her unusual behavior and begins to realize his own strange circumstances. Dan Oh eventually reveals to him that they are within a comic book world.

Mu Young proposes to Dan Oh that they leave school and travel together, but she declines, expressing her desire to attend summer camp instead. With his permission, she goes to the camp, where she is eager to meet Number 13, though she is unable to locate him.

Dan Oh becomes lost during a nighttime mountain trek and grows frightened by her isolation. She is soon encountered by Number 13, who appears to have influenced the course of events. Recognizing that her reality has shifted due to his presence, Dan Oh dubs him "Day" for altering the course of her day.

Dried Squid warns Dan Oh that chaos will ensue when extras gain names and autonomy. A mishap involving Kyung injures Day, leading Dan Oh to blame Kyung, and he refuses to attend a dinner at her house. Kyung confronts Dan Oh, and Day unexpectedly shows up.

Dan Oh confesses to Kyung that she wants to end their relationship. At the same time, she insists on altering the comic's plot, despite Dried Squid's warnings that it could have disastrous consequences. Meanwhile, Nam Ju's parents arrive at the school to organize her birthday celebration.

Nam Ju hosts a birthday party, which Haru, uninvited, attends in disguise in an attempt to alter the storyboard as planned with Dan Oh and Do Hwa. Do Hwa confesses his feelings for Ju Da, but Haru's plan is disrupted due to Kyung's interference.

Dan Oh confesses to Kyung that he was never truly liked by her, echoing Dried Squid's warning that altering the story worsens Haru's pain. Kyung accuses Haru of manipulating Dan Oh, which angers Haru, leading him to believe he is the only one who can change Dan Oh's destiny.

Haru begins to gain recognition, with people remembering his name and now using his name tag. Kyung invites Dan Oh on a date, but he abruptly stands her up, only for Haru to appear and spend a pleasant time with her instead. Meanwhile, Kyung discovers the existence of a book titled "Secret.

Kyung reveals to Dan Oh that he is aware of the book "Secret," while Haru mysteriously vanishes and is completely forgotten by the students at Seuli High. Dried Squid blames Dan Oh for the situation, leaving her confused and distressed. Kyung attempts to comfort Dan Oh, though the situation proves difficult to resolve.

During Seuli High School's Sports Day, Dan Oh plays a game with Kyung, which ends with Dan Oh falling and Kyung becoming irritated. Just then, Haru appears, making Dan Oh excited, though Haru seems unfamiliar with him.

Haru gains popularity at Seuli High School, while Nam Ju declares Ju Da as his only love. Dan Oh resolves to accept her fate and move on from Haru, though Haru continues to dream about her.

Ju Da encourages Nam Ju to reconcile with Do Hwa, who returns to the group A3. Kyung discovers a book titled "Trumpet Creeper" that features Dan Oh, and Dan Oh tells her that her stage performances are shaped by the writer's vision.

Haru regains his usual personality, bringing joy to Dan Oh and Do Hwa, though Dan Oh feels conflicted about his return due to fear of losing him once more. In a moment of shared mischief, Haru and Dan Oh skip their duties and explore an antique shop.

Haru experiences recurring feelings of déjà vu with new experiences, while tensions rise between him and Kyung as their conflicts escalate. Dan Oh's health declines, and Dried Squid becomes concerned upon realizing Haru has recovered his lost memories.

Kyung discovers the book that Dried Squid had burned, and Dried Squid explains that the writer's previous work is unrelated to their current reality. Kyung behaves harshly toward Dan Oh during a performance and later feels regret. He also tells Haru that he cannot be defeated, claiming Haru is just an extra.

Haru seeks to alter the course of Dan Oh's fate, while Ju Da waits in vain for Nam Ju. Encouraged by Do Hwa to prioritize her own well-being, Ju Da expresses her inability to move forward alone. Meanwhile, Dan Oh and Haru vow to reunite at a specific tree on October 10.

Kyung is concerned about Dan Oh after her recent hospital stay and reflects on their past. Dan Oh returns to school and seems happy spending time with Haru, which troubles Kyung. Kyung confronts Dan Oh, asking if she truly likes Haru, suggesting that her feelings might be influenced by the situation.

Nam Ju departs from Seuli High School as Ju Da reassures him that he no longer needs to concern himself with her. Dried Squid urges Haru to stop whoever is altering the stage, even if it means opposing Dan Oh. A new transfer student arrives at Seuli High School.

Kyung confronts Dried Squid, blaming him for his losses, and discovers a comic book that leads her to call off her engagement to Dan Oh. As Dan Oh reflects on their long history with Haru, Ju Hwa encourages him to consider undergoing surgery.

Sae Mi continues to bully Ju Da, who this time refuses to back down. Meanwhile, Dan Oh revisits the storyboard and decides to alter the stage, with Do Hwa and Haru struggling to help until Haru finally succeeds. Kyung expresses deep feelings for Dan Oh, insisting they can never be separated.

In "Trumpet Creeper," Haru becomes aware of Dan Oh's deteriorating health following her death, while Dried Squid suggests a troubling pattern between the events in "Secret" and the current situation. As Dan Oh's condition worsens, she attempts to conceal her state from Haru.

Do Hwa learns that Ju Da knows her identity, creating tension between them. Jun Hyun urges Haru to stay away from Kyung, while Kyung warns Dan Oh that she will suffer a fatal wound if she dies. Haru discovers Dan Oh needs surgery and becomes anxious about the potential consequences.

Do Hwa and Haru attempt to alter Dan Oh's fate by interfering with his medical records, leading to unexpected consequences. Haru swaps Dan Oh's chart with another patient's, avoiding surgery, but Kyung warns that his actions may be causing Dan Oh more harm and urges him to stop before things worsen.

Dried Squid warns Kyung against interfering with his relationship with Su Hyang in their current reality. Dan Oh's fate has shifted, yet she remains trapped in the shadow world, and Haru witnesses the moment he kills Dan Oh in "Trumpet Creeper." Kyung learns that death in the shadow world erases a person's self-awareness.

Dan Oh has lost all memory of the events that occurred in the shadow and is unaware of her true identity. Nam Ju, whose out-of-wedlock birth becomes known to the school, faces increasing isolation, though Ju Da remains loyal to him even in the shadow. Meanwhile, Su Hyang retains awareness of her true self.

Dan Oh and Kyung plan to meet at their school to commemorate their 10th anniversary, but Kyung asks Haru to go in his place. During the visit, Dan Oh recovers a memory related to Haru, and the two share a meaningful time together. However, Haru later discovers that his name is missing from a nametag, hinting at a deeper mystery.

Haru is determined to support Dan Oh as he returns to his true self, bringing joy to their friend Do Hwa. With Dried Squid encouraging reconciliation among Haru and Kyung, tensions ease, while Jun Hyun admires Haru's courage in altering his destiny.

Haru's scar vanishes, signaling his impending erasure from the comic book world. After he disappears, Dan Oh continues to feel his absence, especially on graduation day, when she discovers a diary and Haru's drawings near an ancient tree.
