Walter Wilson (Kevin Janssens) and Robin De Rover (Ella-June Henrard) began their careers in the police force with strong dedication and noble ideals. However, they frequently encountered situations where months of intense and dangerous detective work were undermined by what they viewed as irrelevant procedural errors, the skill of expensive lawyers, and questionable rulings by foreign judges. As a result, they increasingly deviated from standard procedures during their patrols, such as informing criminals about upcoming police actions in exchange for substantial payments. Wilson also struggles with addictions to women, alcohol, and drugs, making his behavior unpredictable. After being suspended from the police force due to repeated conflicts, he seeks even closer ties with the criminal world, though his actions become increasingly reckless.
