Synopsis
Ippo finally meets boxing champion Eiji Date, who is in attendance as a guest commentator and reveals a past friendship with Takamura. In the matches, Aoki and Kimura win narrowly to rank fifth in their division, while Takamura dominates as usual and Ippo places tenth in his class. A few days later, with his right hand healed, Ippo requests a sparring session with Eiji Date.
