Fruits Basket
Tohru Honda is a 16-year-old orphan who is invited to live with her classmate, the handsome boy Sohma Yuki, and his cousins, 16-year-old Kyo and 27-year-old Shigure. However, these young men and parts of their extended family are bound by a curse: if they are hugged by someone of the opposite gender, they transform into animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Tohru's life becomes an ongoing series of everyday adventures as she grows closer to the members of the large Sohma family, particularly Yuki and Kyo, experiencing both ordinary and bizarre situations. Yet the Sohma family curse is no trivial matter—it is also marked by deep cruelty and heartbreak.
