Funeral for a Dog
Journalist Daniel Mandelkern travels from Hamburg to meet Dirk Svensson, a reclusive children's book author who resides alone on the Italian side of Lake Lugano with his three-legged dog. Upon discovering a manuscript by Svensson that details a complex ménage à trois, Mandelkern becomes entangled in a series of mysteries that span both past and present.
