Gönülçelen

Gönülçelen is inspired by George Bernard Shaw's play *Pygmalion* and its film adaptation *My Fair Lady*. The series is set in Istanbul, where the two main characters, Murat and Hasret, reside. Murat is a thirty-year-old successful musician and music educator who was born and raised in Istanbul. He comes from a long line of respected, wealthy, and noble individuals. The female protagonist, Hasret, was born and raised in one of Istanbul's most impoverished neighborhoods. She is a free-spirited young woman known for her unfiltered speech. Hasret earns a living by selling flowers and occasionally singing with a band. Murat recognizes potential in her untrained voice and decides to take on the task of teaching her the fundamentals of music through classical training.
