Great Teacher Onizuka

Eikichi Onizuka, an aspiring teacher, arrives at a high school with idealistic expectations of teaching young female students, only to be assigned to "Class O," a troubled group of delinquent students. Through perseverance and unconventional methods, he gradually earns their respect and helps them change their behavior.

Onizuka misses the teacher employment exam due to a misunderstanding and is devastated, but his friend Ryuji Danmari is recommended for an interview at the elite private school Seiringakuen, which offers teaching positions even to those who failed the exam.

Onizuka begins his teaching career at Seirin Gakuen on a positive note, but is assigned to teach a difficult third-year junior high class, Class 3-4, which has a reputation for driving previous homeroom teachers to quit due to stress.

A bizarre photo of Onizuka, which the narrator has no memory of, is circulated throughout the school, causing confusion and concern. Onizuka becomes worried that he might be suffering from multiple personalities, but it is later revealed to be a prank orchestrated by third-year students as part of a class bullying scheme.

Noboru Yoshikawa, a student in the third and fourth grades, has been frequently visiting Onizuka's classroom, and the two have formed a friendship through playing games together.

Uehara confides in his mother, the PTA chairman and an education critic, about the bullying he endured at the hands of Yoshikawa. Meanwhile, Onizuka, facing a difficult situation, begins to question whether his troubles stem from his relationship with Yoshikawa, who is typically timid but now finds himself at a crossroads.

Kunio Murai is a third-grade student who lives with his mother, Juria, a young and attractive woman in her twenties.

Onizuka, Murai, Fujiyoshi, and Kusano travel to Juria for a bowling match, but their plans are disrupted when Juria suddenly goes missing, casting a gloomy atmosphere over the game.

Fukuroda Hajime, a physically strong physical education teacher, becomes frustrated after being humiliated by Onizuka in front of his students and challenges him to a confrontation. Despite his efforts, Fukuroda is unable to overcome Onizuka, leading to his growing despair.

Toroko, a third-grade student who has been dropped from four different groups due to repeated failures, struggles to fit in. His childhood crush, Miyabi Aizawa, remains unaware of his feelings. Meanwhile, tensions rise when Ya, who failed in the Onizuka fall operation due to Toroko, demands that he be removed from the group, causing Onizuka to become concerned about Toroko's future.

Toroko takes part in an audition as advised by Onizuka but struggles due to her nerdy personality. Ya, who performed in a slapstick style during the same audition, progresses smoothly. Encouraged by Onizuka to express herself uniquely, Toroko considers reapplying.

Yu Teshigawara, an accomplished mathematics teacher with complex emotions toward Fuyutsuki, harbors a dislike for Onizuka, who shares a close relationship with him.

Mrs. Ota visits the school to inspect the Onizuka class, but Onizuka disrupts the inspection by appearing in an elephant costume, causing a scene with a water gun. As a result, he faces potential dismissal, though the decision is postponed with the condition that he achieve first place in the upcoming national junior high academic ability test.

Fuyutsuki, determined to prevent Onizuka from being fired for not securing first place in the national mock exam, invites him to his apartment for a study session. Onizuka, however, is resistant and delusional about the situation, leading to a tense and difficult week for both of them.

On the day of a nationwide mock exam, Onizuka witnesses the kidnapping of Hidemi Ota and decides to help rescue her. The kidnappers plan to use a video of Hidemi to pressure her father, a member of parliament, regarding his public works projects.

Onizuka encounters Urumi Kanzaki, a mysterious and alluring woman who expresses a longing for love. While stopping at a laundromat to dry their wet clothes, Onizuka becomes entangled in Urumi's playful antics and is mistaken for a suspect in a harassment incident.

Onizuka attempts to connect with Reimi after learning of her loneliness, but Reimi, uncertain of Onizuka's true feelings, deliberately complicates the situation by involving a yakuza.

With the help of Ryuji and Reimi's former classmates, Onizuka removes Reimi from the school and provides her with an unconventional and absurd after-school lesson.

One day, Murai discovers a love letter with the letter "F" and some initials inside her shoebox, sparking curiosity and confusion.

Fuyutsuki, a young and popular female student, faces growing hostility from her classmates, particularly the girls. After a classmate initiates a boycott, Fuyutsuki becomes distressed and vanishes. Concerned, Onizuka, along with Kikuchi, Murai, and Toroko, travels to Hakuba, a place significant to Fuyutsuki's past, in search of her.

Fuyutsuki faces emotional turmoil as the old elementary school building, significant for its connection to Hitomi Kizaki's past, is set to be destroyed for a film shoot. Haunted by a sense of betrayal from a teacher he once trusted, he is eventually moved to open his heart through Onizuka's efforts.

A mysterious "Letter of Misfortune" goes viral at Seirin Gakuen, leading to a flood of ominous letters delivered to Onizuka. Dismissing them as nonsense, he burns them all, but soon strange and unsettling events begin to plague him, eventually leading to his declining health.

Hiroshi Uchiyamada, a 51-year-old vice-principal at the esteemed Seirin Gakuen, finds respite from his stressful managerial role at the home of his friend Iruma. However, his peace is disrupted by the frequent visits of Onizuka, who has begun tutoring Uchiyamada's daughter, Yoshiko.

Kadena Nanao, an attractive new nurse at Seirin Gakuen, quickly gains popularity among students and staff, but soon draws suspicion for selling questionable items from the infirmary.

The South Wind was a celebrated female runner known in her prime as the "Queen of Hakosuka," revered for her speed and dominance in the sport.

Toroko, an entertainer, lands a role in a popular drama, but her screen time is limited due to the scriptwriter's self-centered decisions. Concerned for her, Onizuka intervenes by confronting the scriptwriter and helping Toroko secure more appearances. He also steps in to manage her career, replacing her unfeeling manager, Ichiro Okinoshima.

Toroko participates in the "Shonen Magazine Gravure Princess Contest," but faces fierce competition and struggles as her postcard vote count remains low. Meanwhile, her home address is mistakenly published in the magazine, and she encounters a series of misfortunes, including the disappearance of her swimsuit used for the photo shoot.

Fujiyoshi Koji is tasked by his class representative, Mr. Sakurada, with collecting funds for the forest school, amassing a total of 1.12 million yen. Despite knowing the money belongs to the class, Fujiyoshi spends part of it on a watch he desires. On his way back, he loses the remaining money.

Fujiyoshi is accused by the class of losing a significant sum of money, and Onizuka, who initially claimed not to have seen it, reveals he spent 1.12 million yen the previous night, suggesting he may be responsible.

Through the collaboration of Kikuchi and Reimi, new evidence emerged pointing to Ya as the orchestrator behind the sequence of events.

Murai's mother, Juria, is a young and attractive woman in her twenties who has never been informed about her father's existence or her mother's remarriage. One day, Murai sees Juria entering a wedding hall with a man, which initially doesn't concern her. Students begin their mobile classroom experience in Okinawa, enjoying the first day of travel and activities. Meanwhile, Yoshikawa finds himself in another awkward situation involving apricots.

Onizuka learns from Kikuchi about a valuable hidden treasure linked to a hidden Christian on Ishigaki Island, estimated to be worth 2 billion yen.

Yoshikawa rescues Kyoko after she falls into the sea, but she becomes increasingly anxious about navigating a confusing cave system. As tensions rise, Yoshikawa removes an apricot from her, adding to the growing unease.

Kyoko becomes increasingly unsettled after Yoshikawa saves her in the ocean, as she begins having strange dreams in which he appears with a look of worry in his eyes.

Onizuka organizes a themed event on the final night of the Okinawa trip, pairing men and women based on his own biased criteria for a swimsuit-themed activity. Kyoko is unexpectedly paired with Yoshikawa as part of Onizuka's plan.

Noboru Saito, a former teacher from the second year and fourth group, was hospitalized after stabbing himself in the chest. He is revealed to be the individual responsible for initiating the bullying incident involving the current third-year and fourth-class teacher.

A conflict erupts at Seirin Gakuen between Onizuka, his students, and the faculty as they challenge the school board's controversial decision to label the elegant Saito teacher as the culprit in a stabbing case, despite a lack of concrete evidence.
