The story is set in a world created by entities called "Story Tellers." Upon birth, every inhabitant is given a "book of fate," which contains the complete account of their life, predetermined in advance. However, a faction of rebellious Story Tellers, known as Chaos Tellers, begin inserting harmful events into these books without the individuals' knowledge. The task of those who possess blank books of fate is to locate and confront the Chaos Tellers in order to restore balance to the world.
