H.R. Pufnstuf
*H.R. Pufnstuf* is a children's television series produced by Sid and Marty Krofft in the United States. It was the first live-action, life-size puppet program created by the Krofft brothers. The seventeen episodes originally aired from September 6, 1969, to December 27, 1969. The show's success led NBC to retain it on the Saturday morning schedule until August 1972. *H.R. Pufnstuf* was filmed at Paramount Studios, with its opening filmed in Big Bear Lake, California. Reruns aired on ABC's Saturday morning lineup from September 2, 1972, to September 8, 1973, and in some markets on Sunday mornings from September 16, 1973, to September 8, 1974. The series was syndicated independently from 1974 to 1978 and later as part of a package with six other Krofft series under the banner *Kroft Superstars* from 1978 to 1985. In 2004 and 2007, *H.R. Pufnstuf* was ranked #22 and #27, respectively, on *TV Guide*'s list of Top Cult Shows Ever.
