Hamish Macbeth
*Hamish Macbeth* is a comedy-drama series produced by BBC Scotland, first broadcast in 1995. Based loosely on a series of mystery novels by M. C. Beaton, the show follows Constable Hamish Macbeth, a local police officer in the fictional Scottish town of Lochdubh on the west coast. The titular character was portrayed by Robert Carlyle. The series consisted of three seasons, airing from 1995 to 1997, with the first two seasons comprising six episodes each and the third season featuring eight episodes.
