In the final four episodes of High School DxD BorN, an alternate narrative takes place, presenting the main characters with new challenges and causing shifts in their relationships under changed circumstances. Important alliances are put to the test, and unforeseen events reshape the direction of the story. This alternate ending offers a different conclusion to the primary conflicts and character developments.

Issei prepares for a school trip to Kyoto but must first accompany Rias and her group to the Gremory household, where Rias reports on the completion of her family's mission. There, they meet Sairaorg, who challenges Issei to a physical confrontation.

Issei and his classmates travel to Kyoto, where he intends to both enjoy the city and continue his training. However, he soon discovers that Kyoto is a center of activity, as powerful organizations begin to take action.

Issei and his companions continue their training in Kyoto, balancing moments of leisure with their responsibilities. During this time, they encounter a nine-tailed fox who begs for their help in rescuing her mother from the Chaos Brigade.

Cao Cao challenges Azazel and the Red Dragon Emperor as the Hero Faction becomes involved, putting Issei and his friends in grave danger. With time running out, Issei must act swiftly to protect them and confront whether he can unlock his hidden potential.

Issei and his team travel to Nijo Castle to meet with Cao Cao, where they unexpectedly come across Kunou's mother. The situation quickly becomes tense, leading to a confrontation between the two groups. In the heat of the conflict, Issei pushes past his limits and unlocks his hidden power.

Issei calls upon his president to assist him in the battle in Kyoto. As she hovers nearby, Elsha teases him, leading him to unlock his latent power. He then faces Cao Cao once again.

With the Chaos Brigade's recent inactivity, Issei and his team shift their focus to upcoming challenges, including a school festival, a hero-themed performance, and the ongoing Rating Game against Sairaorg.

As the Gremory family ramps up their preparations for the Rating Game, Issei finds himself dealing with various distractions, such as responsibilities for the school festival and attending a press conference. At the same time, Rias displays odd behavior, contributing to the increasing tension.

As The Rating Game approaches, Issei finds himself at a crossroads, troubled by his suspicions regarding Rias's behavior. With support from his companions, he begins to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead, as his team gets ready for battle.

As the Rating Game escalates, Team Gremory contends with mounting pressure to remain focused and competitive. A provocative strip tease risks diverting Issei's attention, challenging the team's strategic cohesion and stability.

Sairaorg engages in a fierce battle against Kiba, Xenovia, and Rossweisse, testing Issei's abilities to their limits. As the conflict escalates, Issei finds himself struggling to control his emotions before they overwhelm him.

Issei purifies the curse from his Sacred Gear and regains his strength as a Queen-class devil. He engages in a climactic battle with Sairaorg, with the outcome determining his fate. With that conflict resolved, Issei turns his attention to confessing his feelings to Rias.
