High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

Ricky auditions for the lead role in East High's production of *High School Musical* in hopes of reconnecting with his ex-girlfriend, Nini.

E.J. experiences jealousy after being cast in the role of the second lead in *Troy*, a part he had hoped to secure for himself. Meanwhile, Nini, who plays the lead actress, receives encouragement from Miss Jenn to trust and have confidence in the rehearsal process.

After her phone goes missing, Nini faces a series of misfortunes that lead her to suspect someone and take unexpected action. Meanwhile, EJ looks into a touching voicemail Ricky left for Nini, and Mr. Mazzara starts to question certain aspects of Miss Jenn's past.

Nini's revelation regarding E.J.'s true identity creates a complicated situation for Ashlyn. At the same time, Gina and E.J. develop an unexpected collaboration in wonderstudies, and Ricky is taken by surprise when a visitor arrives at his home.

Miss Jenn organizes a girls' night out for Kourtney and Nini to help Nini cope with a recent romantic setback, while the rest of the theater students attend the East High Homecoming dance, where Carlos attempts to improve his dancing under pressure.

When Miss Jenn is temporarily removed from her position and rehearsals are put on hold, the students come together to support and defend their drama teacher.

At Ashlyn's home, a lively Thanksgiving gathering brings unexpected news for Gina, while Miss Jenn and Mr. Mazzara spend the holiday together at East High.

When the original filming location becomes unavailable, the cast and crew are compelled to move their production, prompting Carlos to reserve a haunting downtown theater. The setting unsettles Miss Jenn, as it evokes personal struggles from her past.

A group of theater students prepare for the opening night of their production after months of rehearsal and preparation. However, the unexpected arrival of audience members throws the performance into uncertainty, creating tension among the cast. Faced with this challenge, the students must determine if they can come together to successfully complete the show.

As opening night begins, tensions escalate due to last-minute cast changes in Act One, and unresolved emotions between Ricky and Nini risk surfacing during the performance, generating as much conflict offstage as onstage.
