Ieji Hisashi, a salaryman working for a securities company, suffers from a hazy memory of the past five years due to an accident at work. His wife, Megumi, whom he has been married to for five years, and their four-year-old son appear to wear masks, making it difficult for him to read their expressions or emotions. He also questions the nature of his feelings for them. Meanwhile, Ieji feels a growing connection to his ex-wife, whom he divorced five years ago, and their daughter. Curious about the events of the five-year gap in his memory, Ieji embarks on a journey to uncover his past using a mysterious set of ten keys he possesses. As he does, he learns that he was once a cold and career-driven man, and the true identity of his former self begins to emerge in ways that challenge his current, more compassionate personality.
